Tripadvisor: Review of the Month
Visited December, 2015
I dived with Dive Grenada on alternate days fro 14/12/15 to 22/12/15, a total of 10 dives pre-booked from the UK.
The company had been recommended by a friend, so although I was staying at another hotel I decided to use them. (I was picked up from the hotel at 7.45 am on the dot each morning for the 5 minute ride to Dive Grenada).
It was a good choice.
Phil and Helen run a very professional outfit and Helen was particularly helpful with advice in response to my e-mails when booking.
I am on medication (warfarin for the rest of my life following 2 DVTs) and that sometimes produces a blank look from dive staff; but not here - Helen is a qualified doctor in the UK. Very reassuring. I felt very guilty watching Helen putting together my gear, but she would not accept any help saying 'you are on vacation', even turning on the air! All that we were allowed to do was carry our fins the few yards down the beach to the boat!
The boat was very good (I particularly liked the ladder that Phil designed himself - wide treads and a double handrail made it very easy to exit the water. Captain Raphie is a gem - unfailingly cheerful, dropping us precisely on to the dive site, and clucking round like a mother hen checking that everything was right - even to plonking my sunhat on my head as I came out of the water! Cojack and Charlton led the dives well with everything being taken at a leisurely pace, unlike the underwater route-march that I have sometimes experienced elsewhere.
There were never more than four divers in the group - quite a luxury these days. I am not sure how anything could be improved!
